Abstract

This technology describes a method that uses DNA as the scaffold for spatial arrangement to assist in the assembly of enzyme complexes for production purposes.

This method relates to synthetic scaffolds that permit spatial and temporal organization of enzymes in living cells, as a post-translational strategy for controlling the flow of information in both metabolic and signaling pathways.

The inventors genetically fused the targeting enzymes with DNA binding proteins, such as zinc fingers domains that specifically bind unique DNA sequences.
